Each year, Resident Culture proudly hosts a Lunar New Year celebration rooted in tradition, community, and connection. Join us as we welcome the Year of the Horse, a symbol of strength, energy, and forward momentum, and celebrate the arrival of a new year filled with good fortune.


Event Highlights

🥟 1–2 PM | Dumpling Class with The Dumpling Lady
Learn the art of dumpling making with The Dumpling Lady in this hands-on class celebrating food as a symbol of family, prosperity, and togetherness.

🦁 Lion Dance Performances by Thundering Waves
1 PM | 7th Street Taproom
6 PM | Plaza Midwood Taproom
Experience powerful traditional Lion Dance performances rooted in centuries-old Chinese folk traditions. Lion Dancing is believed to bring good fortune and ward off negative energy as we enter the new year.

🎨 3:30–5:30 PM | Lunar New Year Crafts
Festive, family-friendly craft activities inspired by Lunar New Year traditions.

🐎 3–5:30 PM | Horse Shadow Run Farm
Horse Shadow Run Farm will be on site with a live horse, offering a unique and meaningful way to honor the Year of the Horse.
